Terms of Use
Simple terms, in plain language.
These terms govern your use of RaySensei. By using the service you agree to them. Last updated 24 August 2026.
1. The service
RaySensei is an AI tutoring service: it explains ideas by voice, draws on a live board, asks checkpoint questions, and keeps a record of your lessons so you can revisit them. The service is currently offered as an evolving product — features may change, be added, or be withdrawn as we improve it.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and tell us promptly at sarthak@raysensei.com if you believe your account has been compromised. If you are below the age at which you can accept these terms yourself, a parent or guardian must create and supervise the account and accepts these terms on your behalf.
3. Acceptable use
Use RaySensei for learning. You agree not to:
- use the service to generate content that is unlawful, harassing, or harmful, or to attempt to make it act outside its role as a tutor;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
- scrape the service, resell access to it, or use automated tools to extract its content at scale;
- misrepresent output of the service as the work of a human teacher where that matters (for example, in academic submissions that prohibit AI assistance).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. An honest note about AI tutoring
Ray teaches well but is an AI system, and AI systems make mistakes. Explanations can occasionally be incomplete or wrong, and a drawn diagram can occasionally mislead. The service is provided for general educational purposes: it is not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise), and it is not a substitute for the judgment of your teachers and examiners. Check important results, and tell us when Ray gets something wrong — it genuinely helps.
5. Your content and ours
You keep all rights to what you bring to a lesson — your questions, answers, and uploaded material. You give us the limited license needed to operate the service: to process, store, and display that content to run and replay your lessons, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The RaySensei software, design, brand, and prepared lesson materials are ours or our licensors'. You may use lesson boards and recordings from your own sessions for your personal learning, including sharing a lesson replay through the sharing features we provide.
6. Availability and warranties
We work to keep RaySensei available and reliable, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service; if we ever discontinue it entirely, we will give reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RaySensei and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or academic outcomes, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, a nominal amount). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
You can stop using RaySensei and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for legal reasons, or to protect the service or its users — where reasonable, with notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content licenses already exercised, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive.
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and note the change in the product. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the service and, if you wish, ask us to delete your account.
